Things to do
Explore Budapest - Old-world charm and fascinating architecture make Hungary's Budapest the perfect gateway to Eastern Europe. Begin at the first bridge that connected Buda and Pest over the Danube, the Chain Bridge. Past the iconic Margaret Bridge and St. Mathias Church, Fishermen's Bastion is the ideal backdrop for stunning views all around.
Zadar-The City of Split - Being a coastal Mediterranean city, the city of Split is a great amalgamation of traditional culture and modern influences. There are some fantastic sights in the city, both Roman and more modern, excellent options for dining, drinking and nightlife, and plenty of beach opportunities. Overlooking the Split harbour, the 1700 years old palace is one of the most important architectural heritage of the Roman Empire. The Temple of Jupiter was built from 295 to 305 as part of the palace to honour the cult of Jupiter.
Explore Venice the City of Water - Like a true rare gem, Venice is enticingly gorgeous and maddeningly elusive. Enjoy the sheer loveliness of an exquisite city that seems miraculously built on water. Although the city's labyrinth of canals and weaving roads can complicate things, getting lost is the best way to discover the city's famed allure.

un[travelled] to Spain
I travelled to Spain with un[travel]. Every part of the trip was spot on, right from the itinerary to the hotel, the commute within Spain. As it was my first trip post marriage, the people at un[travel] made sure of the smallest details and helped us making it a memorable experience. Thanks guys.
un[travelled] to Europe
Had an amazing time in Spain and thanks to un[travel], we did not face any difficulties with our hotel bookings or other land arrangements. We visited Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid and made a day's visit to Montserrat. The hop on tourist bus in each city ensured that we covered all attractions and explicitly explored whatever interested us. Our intra-city train transfers were well coordinated and we did not face any major challenges. Overall a memorable experience and we will not shy from recommending you to our family and friends.

Best time to visit May to October
The high season for travelling to this part of Europe is May through October. This is the best time to tour this region and admire its masterpieces. It's cheapest to travel in November, March and late August and most expensive during summers. Winters are brutally cold, but this is when you'll get a true glimpse into the experience.
However, during summers main tourist routes and attractions are rather crowded and sometimes even impossible to access. Advanced booking and planning is highly recommended. Apart from this, the best time to visit these countries is in inter-seasons like late spring and early fall. If you can afford to visit, June-August is the appropriate time to see the city and its cultural attractions in full bloom. November-March means few crowds, except during the Christmas and New Year's celebrations.
Poland, Croatia and Romania experience a temperate climate with warm summers and cold winters and distinct seasons with spring and autumn often pleasant. The shoulder tourist seasons of March, April and October are a wonderful time to visit these region with the colours of spring and autumn decorating the landscapes. The days are sunny though cool and temperatures will vary between the mountains and the lower-lying cities. Poland is a popular destination for mountaineering and skiing. The best snow conditions are between January and late April.
How to reach
Pleso Airport is the main international airport of Croatia and is situated 12 km from the city centre of Zagreb. If you fly from eastern side to Croatia you will be landing on one of these five airports: Pleso airport, Zadar airport, Pula airport, Split airport or Dubrovnik airport. Remember, Eastern Europe doesn't have the numerous low-cost carriers in US and Western Europe, you'll probably be surprised by the limited numbers of affordable flights it has. It's cheapest to travel to this part of Europe is in November, March and late August and most expensive during summers.
Sheremetyevo International Airport, in Moscow is the hub for passenger operations of the Russian international airlines. When flying to Romania, you have quite a few airports to choose between, currently there are 12 international airports which have commercial traffic. Henri Coand? Airport is Romania's busiest international airport. One of three airports serving in Poland: Warsaw Chopin Airport and John Paul II International Airport Krak'w'Balice are the international airport located near Krak'w, are the main international airport.
Selected companies run long-haul buses between Eastern European countries. They are almost as expensive as the low-cost airlines.
The Eurorail passes are a great way to save money if you plan to travel by train in Eastern Europe. Intercity trains and local trains are the best for hassle-free trips. You can also check out the national railways websites to find out the timetables and the prices.
Renting a car is another option if you have a driver's license. Traffic in some downtowns can be hectic at times. Hitchhiking may not exactly the safest way to travel in Eastern Europe especially if you are a tourist and don't speak their language.
